Sashiko Throw

General Store

Part of the General Store Found Collection which features some of our favorite vintage pieces.  This 100% cotton textile is dyed with natural indigo and may be used for a multitude of purposes. The stitching seen here is an ancient Japanese tradition referred to as sashiko. Used as a way to mend and reinforce fabrics, the makers drew inspiration from their environment and elaborate patterns were often created.

Measures 58' x 60'. Due to the vintage nature of this textile, small rips, holes and spots are to be expected and add to its unique nature. There are four patches on one side of textile as shown in images.
