Elegantly shaped wood cutting boards, available in a variety of species. Handcrafted by local San Francisco wood worker, Luke Bartels. Cutting boards are meant to be well-loved and used, simply oil with a natural cutting board oil after washing.
Measure roughly 16" diameter. Each cutting board varies slightly in shape, grain, and edge.
Luke Bartels uses locally salvaged and milled wood. Each design is focused on respecting and representing the qualities of the particular material. In addition to traditionally carved pieces, Luke Bartels works with live-edge timbres using a delicate process of preservation that keeps the natural bark and character of the wood, while transforming it into a new and functional household object.
