California Artists Cookbook was originally produced in 1982 for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. An introduction by James Beard precedes over 200 recipes from California artists including Ansel Adam, Judy Chicago and Richard Diebenkorn. The recipes include all seasons and occasions alongside the lovely works of the contributed artists.
