In the words of publisher/editor Ralph Ginzburg, Avant Garde was meant to be “a thoughtful, joyous magazine on art and politics” aimed at people “ahead of their time”. It was published in New York from January 1968 to July 1971. The logo, which was later made to be a commercial typeface, was designed by Herbert Lubalin.
Please note that our vintage items are final sale due to their delicate nature.
