The bead is hand-turned from the Tagua Nut, the seed of a palm tree. For its color, weight and opaque luminosity, the material is often referred to as “Vegetable Ivory”. The bead is set on a 14 karat yellow gold 12mm sequin with bail at back. Pendant hangs on a 30-inch 14 karat yellow gold chain necklace. The pedant may be removed to wear the chain alone. Pendant measures around 1 3/4 inches long.
