Grow Your Own: An Introduction to Organic Gardening was written in 1971 and based on the author's personal experience with gardening in a small backyard. Darlington's intention was to inform her readers of the basics of knowing how to garden organically on a small scale family basis; with emphasis on the idea of how certain factors may change as your garden grows overtime. Everything in the book can apply to gardens at least up to 100' by 200'.
