Elegantly-shaped rectangular wood cutting boards, available in a variety of sustainably harvested species. Handcrafted by local San Francisco woodworker Luke Bartels. Each board is meant to be well-loved and used-- simply oil with a natural cutting board oil after washing.
Currently only available in a dark wood. Measurements and shapes vary; call or email for exact size measurements.
Luke Bartels uses locally salvaged and milled wood. Each design is focused on respecting and representing the qualities of the particular material. In addition to traditionally carved pieces, Bartels works with live-edge timbres using a delicate process of preservation that keeps the natural bark and character of the wood, while transforming it into a new and functional household object.
